Overview

Degen Duel is a blockchain-based prediction market where users duel over cryptocurrency price changes. The platform allows participants to create and join "duels" – bets on whether a specific crypto asset (e.g., ETH) will increase or decrease by a set percentage within a defined time frame. Stakes can be placed in $DUEL (the native ERC20 token) or USDC, adding flexibility for degens.

Key Features

  • Prediction Duels: Users predict price movements (up or down) for supported assets using Chainlink price oracles for fair resolution.

  • Staking Options: Stake $DUEL or USDC on the "for" side (agreeing with the prediction) or "against" side.

  • Fees and Rewards:

    • For $DUEL stakes: 10% house fee on the losing pot (5% burned, 5% swapped to ETH and sent to marketing wallet).

    • For USDC stakes: 2% house fee on the losing pot (sent to marketing wallet).

  • Resolution: Duels auto-resolve after the duration using oracle data. Winners claim proportional shares of the losing pot minus fees.

  • Integration: Uses Uniswap V2 for token swaps and OpenZeppelin libraries for secure ERC20 handling.

  • Minimum Stake: 1000 tokens (for either $DUEL or USDC) to prevent spam.

  • Supported Assets: Currently mapped to Chainlink oracles (e.g., asset IDs 1-5 point to the same oracle for testing; customizable via owner).
